Sensory-Friendly Theater Series
Relaxed performances in a judgment-free, sensory-friendly environment.
Made possible in part through a generous donation from The Jeanine Heller Foundation in memory of former director Pastor Frederick I. McElderry, whose love of the performing arts and steadfast dedication to supporting youth continue to inspire our work today.
Performances where everyone is welcome to experience the magic of live theatre just as they are. These performances are designed to accommodate individuals with high sensitivity, ADD, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), dementia, learning differences, or other sensory sensitivities, so that families and friends can enjoy Broadway-caliber productions together.
At The Gateway Playhouse, our mission is to create theatre that is inclusive, accessible, and inspiring for all members of our community . Sensory-friendly performances are a reflection of this commitment, ensuring that live theatre can be experienced and enjoyed by everyone, regardless of sensory needs.
