The Gateway Webinar Series
The Gateway to 21st Century Skills (Gateway) webinar series focuses on the features of the Gateway and how to use the site to discover and access thousands of educational resources. The Gateway's webinar series is free to all users and there is no cost to attend. Space is limited so please register early to make sure you get a seat.
This 10 minute webinar explains the features of the Gateway to 21st Century Skills including the very popular Today in Literature column and how to use the Gateway to discover and access thousands of education resources. The Gateway is one of the oldest digital libraries in the world. Education resources include lesson plans, activities, literature, videos, and much more.
This demonstration will also discuss the very popular columns, Joann's Picks and Peggy's Corner, and will show you how to access their weekly columns. Each week Joann and Peggy select a theme of importance to educators, Joann tells why they chose that particular topic, and then she selects resources for elementary, middle, and high school related to the theme. In her column, Peggy discusses her views on the theme and suggests additional resources.
How to participate in the Gateway treasure hunt
Participants in this treasure hunt find specific resources on the Gateway based off a series of weekly clues. At the end of the treasure hunt, participants who’ve found the most resources are eligible to win one of three prizes offered. Anyone can join the treasure hunt at any time, even on the very last week if desired. Use each week’s clues to find the correct resources.

Benefits of and how to make a free Gateway account
This webinar will focus on the benefits of having a free Gateway to 21st Century Skills user account. You will see how easy it is to create a user account on the Gateway, and will learn of the special features that are only available to Gateway account holders and how to use these special features. You will also see how to link your account to Facebook and how to login using Facebook.

How to use Gateway resources in the classroom
This webinar will focus on the Gateway to 21st Century Skills columns, Joann's Picks and Peggy's Corner. Emphasis will be on the weekly themes of the columns, how resources are chosen, and how to locate the mentioned resources for use in the classroom. You will also learn how to follow the continuing discussion on the current theme over the following week and how to discover additional resources for the theme.

Going mobile with the Gateway
This webinar will focus on how to go mobile with the Gateway to 21st Century Skills on your device. We will show you how easy it is to install the Gateway App on your iPhone, iPad, smartphone, etc. Discussion will also cover the view differences between a mobile device and the full Gateway.
