Visual Footprints: Multimedia Paintings
Visual Footprints: Multimedia Paintings
Description:
Contemporary artists are also interested in how to represent sounds through visual art. Works such as 12+12 directly relate sound waves to light waves and blurs the lines between visual and audile arts. In this lesson, students will create artworks in the style of the expressionist painter, Wassily Kandinsky. These multimedia works become reflective of the sounds heard; leaving a visual footprint long after the sound has faded. This lesson is adaptable for all grades K-12.
