Nigeria: A Case Study of an African Nation

Description:
By studying Nigeria as a case study, third graders will begin to learn about the diversity of communities within a nation, how people in different communities within a country meet their needs, and the ways in which various world communities govern themselves. Through the activities contained in this unit of study, third graders will develop grade appropriate, social studies and ELA skills and strategies, as well as enjoy learning experiences that deepen their understanding of Nigeria and its context in Africa.
