Feminism, Racism, and Futurism: Popular Television in the 70s
Description:
These three major constructs were integral to television shows during the 1970s. Feminism, racism, and futurism were addressed in creative ways and perhaps assisted the public dialogue about the issues. Others think the treatment of these on television trivialized the issues. The purpose of this lesson is to acquaint students with the television shows of the 1970s and with the ideas that animated them.
