Lure of the Labyrinth
Lure of the Labyrinth
Description:
Lure of the Labyrinth is an interactive online math game for middle school pre-algebra students. Here, students embark on a mission into a shadowy factory populated by monsters to save a lost pet. Students assume the guise of "undercover monsters" as they work through math problems. In the process, students work with proportions, fractions, ratios, variables, equations, numbers, and operations.

Conforms To
2. Measure angles in polygons
Conforms To
The student will describe how the graphical model of a non-linear function represents a given problem and will estimate the solution.
Conforms To
develop, understand, and use formulas to find the area of rectangles and related triangles and parallelograms
Conforms To
use symbolic algebra to represent situations and to solve problems, especially those that involve linear relationships

Conforms To
The student will apply formulas and/or use matrices (arrays of numbers) to solve real-world problems.
Conforms To
The student will describe the graph of a non-linear function and discuss its appearance in terms of the basic concepts of maxima and minima, zeros (roots), rate of change, domain and range, and continuity.
Conforms To
understand and use the inverse relationships of addition and subtraction, multiplication and division, and squaring and finding square roots to simplify computations and solve problems
