Fabulous Fibonacci and His Nifty Numbers
Fabulous Fibonacci and His Nifty Numbers
Description:
Fibonacci numbers are an interesting mathematic idea. Although not normally taught in the school curriculum, particularly in lower grades, the prevalence of their appearance in nature and the ease of understanding them makes them an excellent principle for
elementary-age children to study. In this lesson, students will explain Fibonacci numbers and their origin, and identify such numbers in nature and in art. They will also generate the next numbers in the Fibonacci sequence, and create an original number sequence.
