Amelia Earhart and First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt were friends. Both of them were outspoken, both were opinionated, and they both did what they believed in, no matter what people said. This lesson examines these two women, who have both acted as pioneers and role models for women. Students will research and write a biography or an additional famous woman from history , and discuss the obstacles that women have had to overcome to get where they are today.
