Scat!
Description:
For this activity, spread cones out over a large (grassy is best) area. One of the cones, the Scat Cone, should be placed by you. Always have at least one less cone than the total number of students in your class. Once all the cones are put in place, have one student stand at each cone (not counting the Scat cone). Any student who does not have a cone to stand by lines up behind the Scat cone. When you yell the word "Scat", everyone must then run to a different cone. At the same time, send the first person in the Scat line into the field, thus having one more student than there are cones. The student left without a cone comes to the Scat Cone for a rest.
