Greenhouse Effect: Too Much, Too Little, or Just Right
In this activity, students learn about the seasonal variations in the amount of atmospheric carbon dioxide at two different locations on the Earth's surface, and the annual increase in the amount of global atmospheric carbon dioxide and methane. They will plot curves for the carbon dioxide and methane concentrations found in the atmosphere over a period of time. In much the same way a scientist would monitor concentrations of gases in the atmosphere, students will look for changes and trends, as well a maximum and minimum concentrations during that same time period.
