MY HERO is an interactive site made for the entire family. At the heart of this Internet site is the belief that there are and always have been, good people and positive role models in every aspect of our daily lives. Ron Kovic is such a person. A Vietnam war veteran, a bullet in his spine made him paralyzed from the chest down. Having seen and described the realities of war, he became a passionate advocate for peace. He also spoke out repeatedly against the poor conditions in America's veterans' hospitals. His story was brought to the attention of the world in 1991, in a film called Born on the Fourth of July.
