Sergei Vladimir Ilyushin, Jr. is an unsung hero, who was the first man in space. However because his mission was not entirely successful, the then Soviet government decided to deny that he evere went up in space. Ilyushin is now 72 years old, and is an Air Force general, as well as an aircraft designer and spokesperson for a military aircraft manufacturer.
