"The Rain Forest" is an integrated unit incorporating knowledge and skills primarily from the Social Studies and English/Language Arts areas. This unit is part of a yearlong literature based theme called "Reading Around the World". Although rainforests around the world are discussed, emphasis is on the animals and plants of the South American rainforests
