Philanthropy, You, and Your World

Description:
This unit is designed to familiarize students with the term philanthropy and characteristics of philanthropic people and organizations. Students will be learning the importance of philanthropy by working in groups to develop questions to interview a philanthropic organization and report the information back to their classmates. They will also be learning business letter skills and writing a thank-you letter. This will re-emphasize the importance of the organization as well as give them an appreciation for writing follow-up letters such as the thank-you.
