Students will become familiar with the work of the United Way in the community. In the middle school lesson , learners (who are studying other countries in the world) will look at the United Way agencies in the country they are studying and compare its work to their own community's United Way agency. Note: Although this unit was developed for Muskegon, MI, it can be easily adapted to another community or city.
