Asian-Nation: The Landscape of Asian America

Description:
Asian-Nation is a unique exploration of the historical, political, economic, and cultural issues that make up today's diverse Asian American community. Created by C.N. Le, a Vietnamese American Ph.D. student in sociology at SUNY Albany, Asian-Nation presents discussions on several issues that affect Asian Americans, such as the "model minority" image, traditional and contemporary Asian culture, common stereotypes, ethnic communities and small businesses, assimilation, and anti-Asian hate crimes, to name just a few. Concisely but comprehensively combining interactive content, in-depth research, statistics, and a casual style, Asian-Nation seeks to produce something akin to an online version of Asian Americans 101 for the entire Internet community.
