Description:
In this Xpedition activity, students answer the question: "What is it about gold that has inspired people to create stories, fight wars, and travel to parts unknown for thousands of centuries?" To do so, the students pretend they are Roman traders trying to reach China via the Silk Road. Among other things, the lesson teaches that there is a relationship between scarcity and value.
