Lawrence Hall of Science

Description:
There is something for everyone in this site—teachers, students, and the general public. Part of the site is devoted to descriptions of the Lawrence Hall of Science (LHS) and current exhibits. The largest portion, however, provides information on science education resources for teachers, parents, and children. The main index lists exhibits, public programs, special events, school programs, publications, teacher resources, museum store, weather, hot links, and search. The content of each area is standard for this type of site and the sum total is a large amount of information about programs and materials that are available. It is especially rich in highlighting educational programs and resources for teachers. The hotlinks pages provide access to a broad range of key sites. An intrasite search engine is available. The Kid’s Corner section not only provides interesting information and graphics related to broad areas of biological and physical science and mathematics, but also has a number of well-designed virtual experiments and instructions for experiments to carry out at home.
