The web site of the Association of Science-Technology Centers provides information about all of its members. ASTC represents more than 450 hands-on science museums around the world. An interesting section of the site invites visitors to go behind the scenes to learn what various museum personnel do. Included are exhibit directors, project managers, education coordinators, and more. In another section of the site you can click on a map of the world to find locate science centers around the world. You can also find information about ASTC’s Youth Alive Project, information about how science centers are making their facilities accessible for persons with disabilities, and beginning in January, ASTC’s web site will offer the ASTC Exhibition Clearinghouse, which will enable museums and other organizations to market and research exhibitions through a database that is searchable by topic, title of exhibition, square footage, developing institution, and availability.
