Basic Algebra Shape-Up helps students to master specific basic algebra skills. The program helps students develop confidence working with equations and promotes the development of algebraic thinking. After an assessment, the software helps students by breaking down problems into small, easily understood steps. Step-by-step tutorials introduce each level and can be referred to when practicing. A portfolio section helps students clarify their math thinking and lets teachers know if the concepts are being understood. Students are able to track their progress through progress-to-date and session scores. Student scores are kept in a management system that allows teachers to view and print reports.
