Description:
Students who take part in an eCommEd course or project are taught and learn using two different methods. The first is the traditional classroom method in which the teacher presents a lesson, supporting it with lecture, discussion, and reading materials. The second teaching method integrated in all eCommEd packages is the real-world workplace training methods. Students in the eCommEd classroom are also employees of real e-commerce companies operated from the classroom. Included with every course package is a fully supported and maintained website that the class uses to operate a real online business. Students participating in the full eCommEd Curriculum publish an online information service about their high school. Students participating in the eCommEd Lite curriculum use their website to promote a fund-raising event in their community. Students involved in the eCommEd e-Auction lesson get the opportunity to operate their own online auction.
