In this lesson, students learn about the caiman, a very large reptile that survives in the rain forest of Manu, Peru. Students will: - create/construct a model of the bite of the caiman in a class activity - calculate the length of the caiman from the size of the model bite - take the model home, show it to classmates, and be able to present information on caimans from Manu from this activity. The lesson provides a list of materials needed, teaching strategies, assessment recommendations, and extension/adaptation suggestions.
