In this lesson, students will: - create a cloud in a bottle - be able to describe the conditions necessary for cloud formation at the tops of mountains - be able to describe why one side of a mountain range has higher rainfall than the other - understand the reason for the drenching monsoons on the Bhutan side of the Himalayan Mountain range - be able to describe the effect of the pounding of water on rocks as they move to the sea. The lesson provides a list of materials needed, estimated time, teaching strategies, and assessment recommendations, as well as extensions/adaptations. Relevant national standards in science are also noted.
