Happier than a Hummingbird
Happier than a Hummingbird
Description:
Like all species, hummingbirds play a special role in the environment. There seems to be a need for programs that not only teach about a particular species but also about how that species interacts with other organisms in an ecosystem. In the natural world, nothing exists in a vacuum, and it is impossible to get a complete picture of one species without mentioning another. During its lifetime, the Hummingbird has special interactions with other organisms so it is an excellent example of interrelationships in nature. This exercise teaches children about hummingbird and plant adaptations, feeding behavior, and related concepts.
