Hummingbird Drama Activities

Description:
Even for folks who know a lot about birds and nature, Hummingbirds, are especially interesting because they behave so differently than most other organisms. They hover, fly backwards, feed from flowers, capture tiny insects almost too small to be seen, build nests from spider webs and lichens, weigh less than five paper clips, hum with their wings and have a chittering voice, and migrate thousands of miles each spring and fall. All these traits make them wonderful subjects for dramatic endeavors. This site offers a hummingbird mime activity and a hummingbird playlet activity for your classroom.
