Trapping a Soccer Ball
Trapping a Soccer Ball
Description:
The purpose of this activity is to reinforce the cues involved in order to successfully trap a soccer ball with the sole of your foot. For this particular lesson the soccer ball was described as a globe - like the world it has a North Pole, South Pole, and an Equator. To trap the ball with the sole of our foot we need to place the bottom of our foot between the North Pole and the Equator of the ball. If you were teaching the children how to trap using the inside/outside of the foot you could use the the first part of this assessment hoping they would choose the Equator.
