| Description | In this CyberSmart! Curriculum lesson plan students interpret some powerful decision-making tips to increase their searching efficiency and then apply them in school research scenarios. They also learn to look for advance search strategies offered at most search sites. The CyberSmart! Curriculum is the first-of-its-kind K-8 curriculum for students' safe, responsible and effective use of technology. Non-sequential for flexible implementation; the curriculum is organized into five S-M-A-R-T units -- Safety, Manners, Advertising, Research and Technology -- each teaching an important facet of Internet and technology use. Original standards-based lessons and activity sheets provide the skills necessary for children to become safe, mindful and effective cybercitizens. |
