Element Semantics (Definition)

A brief free-text listing of materials essential to the successful use of the entity by the teacher as stated in the entity being described.

General

  • Name:  resources
  • Label:  Essential Resources
  • Namespace:  http://purl.org/gem/elements/
  • Registration Authority:  GEM Consortium
  • Notes:  None

Best Practices

  1. Include only resources that are absolutely necessary to the successful completion of the learning activity.
  2. Do not include resources that are not needed even if you think it would be of interest to the user—e.g., do not include statements such as "No computer needed."
  3. Do not list more than one resource in an instance of the «resources» element, instead, repeat the element for each resource to be included.
